Hedge House has been providing luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in a peaceful pocket of Newlands, Sunnybrae, Cape Town for 24 years.
As of January 2023, we have installed an inverter/ battery backup system that supplies Hedge House with consistent power in the event of blackouts.
Solar panels added to the system in 2025.
We are within walking distance of Good Hope Studies, Claremont (Cavendish Square), the Newlands Cricket Stadium, Kelvin Grove, and the Sports Science Institute.
Varsity College is just a short walk away.
We are within easy reach of the Waterfront, beaches and Cape Town airport.
Schools close by are Rondebosch Boys, Bishops and Rustenburg Girls High.
Keurboom Park with Western Province Cricket, Squash (VOB) and tennis is just a stroll away.
Hedge House was established in 2001, growing from a three-bedroom home to ten bedrooms. Five of them are family rooms and six are ensuite guest rooms.
We host small conferences and special occasion celebrations.
Dinners are served on request.

This was our first stop of our SA trip as a family of four and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. This cosy place with their 3 dogs made us feel right at ease. I once again had the privilege of staying at Hedge House. Judy & Graham are incredible hosts, always friendly, assisting and welcoming, it feels like a home away from home. The accommodation is breathtaking, very spacious rooms and bathrooms with everything you need and more. The breakfasts are scrumptious, you can taste the personal touch and care with every bite. Hedge House is located in a safe and convenient neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful place where you will be welcomed by the owners themselves. They are truly amazing and will always do their best to please their customers. The guest house is spotless clean and breakfast is very good. Can’t recommend Hedge House more!
