Best accommodation & people!

Have been staying at Hedge House for over five times. Every year when we come, we immediately feel like home.
The guesthouse is very safe, clean, well maintained and elegant. The people (and furry friends) we meet here, especially Judy the owner, is amazing - warm, attentive and professional. The hospitality and assistance we received make us staying without considering another other options. The food, especially breakfast, is delicious and freshly prepared.
South Africa has undergone difficult times in the past years, like draught and power shortage. It caused everyone inconveniences but Hedge House still managed to offer us a comfortable and safe stay which was greatly appreciated.
We sincerely hope Hedge House and the team will continue do well, and look forward to revisiting them in soon future!

Outstanding guesthouse in every way. Warm, cozy and wonderful hospitality. Judy, Shehan and Graham are excellent hosts and take care of every fine detail. First class dinners on request, to heated beds and bathroom tiles, to the best home made rusks I’ve tasted! There are many lovely guesthouses in Newlands but this one sits at the top of my list!

Beautiful, comfortable,and friendly
A local friend recommended, and it turned out to be one of the best hotel we stayed. Our room (family suite)was nicely decorated with arts, very comfortably equipped with even hot water bottles, milk, tea/coffee, and cookies. The dinning room was also pleasantly decorated, with friendly dogs and a cat. The breakfast was full of choices and delicious. We had one dinner there and the salad was one of the best! My kids loved it. The staff was super friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcomed. Also close to a nice park foul of playground equipment. Highly recommended!

This BnB is amazing, the staff is exceptional. Breakfast was very good. My room was upstairs but, i received help to carry my luggage up and down the stairs. Judy even offered me ride to the office, such a lovely soul.
Nothing really threw me off. The BnB maintain its vintage style which gives it a homely and warm feeling. it makes you feel like you belong.

Judy was an excellent host and so accommodating. Right from the time we booked our stay, to our arrival, she communicated well with us. The location was excellent and Ubers were reasonable to get into the city.

Rooms upstairs were accessed via spiral staircases outside the main house which may not be suitable if you are elderly or have very young children - it wasn’t a problem for us, as our children are teenagers. Judy did check this with us prior to arrival.

Amazing place to stay with the family. The host is are very warm and friendly person. Her house was built by herself and the rooms have good finishes and are well maintained. Her grown up children are also (partially)involved in the hospitality team. We decided to stay in that part of Capetown due to the vicinity of the schools. The area is safe, and surrounded by beautiful parks with tennis courts and lovely views. After the first meal, we decided to have supper almost everyday at Hedge House. One of her children supplies delicious pork from his own farm. Arguably the best in the country. The culinary achievements of the team are surpassing every imaginable expectation.
